Pre-delivery inspection solution is divided into two parts and it is fully customized software. It gives the opportunity to OEMs to prepare sets of questions to be answered by dealers and make changes into the same, according to the business needs and demands. Two types of PDI are:
- Arrival Condition Report: Under the banner of arrival condition report, OEMs will receive a certificate from the dealer that inspection on the received vehicles has been carried out and everything is fine (if it is). In case of any issue, dealer representative can connect with the OEM personnel directly through the portal and can inform them about the issue, if they come across in any vehicle, as arrival condition report is needed to be prepared separately for each vehicle. The difference is, OEMs and dealers will be able to save lots of valuable time through this automated portal.
- Dealer (PDI) Pre-Delivery Inspection: As it is clear from its name, this inspection is carried out by dealers for the final time on a vehicle, before handing over the keys to end-customers. This process is carried out to ensure that at the time of delivery, the vehicle was in perfect condition and it will not come back to dealership with a problem instantly.Dealer pre delivery inspection (PDI) is the process that includes a long list of questionnaire that includes questions about every part and section of the vehicle. for example it includes - wipers are working correctly or not sensors are working or not, vehicle is clean and scratch free on not and all the accessories included are original or not, etc.
In performing PDI, if authorized dealers come across any tiny problem, they solve it on their end, and if the problem is big, then they accelerate it in front of OEMs. In manual processing, this work was done through pen and paper and reports were sent by manual process. Don't you think it's a long and time taking process?
