If no issue is found, dealer needs to give a certificate of guarantee to the OEM, stating that ACR has been carried out and we have no problem. For each equipment received, ACR is needed to be prepared separately.

2- Pre Delivery Inspection

 Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) is the final inspection that is carried out by dealers to ensure that everything is perfect. PDI process is carried out to facilitate end-customer and eliminate their need of re-visiting the dealership with any query regarding the delivery of vehicle.

PDI process consists of a rigid checklist that includes examining full vehicle deeply from every angle.

In PDI process, dealers look for problems, if they come across any, they fix it instantly. Also, it doesn’t matter how minor or major the issue is, it is needed to be fixed because it’s a part of PDI. After this process is complete, customer need to sign at the end after complete satisfaction.

What Is The Need Of ACR And PDI?

To understand the importance of these modules, one needs to look at customer ratings of different manufacturers and dealers. ACR and PDI help dealers to find major recall issues before any unit is sold. This process led to consistency for each vehicle that comes to market after recall issues. Some OEMs who skip the PDI process, will notice that a lot of vehicles would come back to them within a week of being sold.
